I looked up my cichlids. I have a Golden Auratus, 2 powder blue socolofi, and a red zebra. I have a 20 gallon tank. I want to stock to help reduce agression, but how many should I have? Also should I get more of the same or add other mbuna types?

auratuses are very aggresive and in that small of a tank they may be more aggresive than usual. You really do need a big tank and over-stocking a small tank will just add to the problems

the auratus is typically intolerant of other fish. it should be kept with a harem of females but it may work out. I wouldn't add ant more fish than you already have but you may want to trade the auratus with one or two mbuna.

 yes i agree because they can get up to 7 inches. But average is around 5-6 in. but i thought he wanted one or two temporarily or something.

Dude wal-mart sells everything. As long as they get money. I swear I saw atleast one diseased fish in every tank. One silver dollar had an extremely bad case of ich and this one little girl's mom was like "mommy lets get him he has beatiful white spots!" "ok honey," the mom replied.I just walked away.

It's best not to buy fish from chain stores because you are supporting the unethical treatment of animals when you do this. Walmart sells things for one reason. Profit.

I like walmart, ours has a 90 day warrenty on all fish and keep the tanks very clean. As far as unethical treatment, they donate money to the local shelter and petsmart does this also.

I think Mr Wamart needs a good spanking. They do not seem to concerned as to the welfare of their livestock.

yea... like wal mart.. pet cetera here in canada is another place like that... could care less about the wel being of fish... and openly sell fish in diseased tanks... i think they get them from florida farms called like seacrest farms or something... i know thats the farm that breeds the fish in huge outdoor ponds... conditions are usually poor and fish usually die... id like to see more privately owned fish stores around... run these corrupt high class chains out of business !
