Walmart Bettas

Amen to that.

Those cups are horridly small, too. The ones in my pet (aquarium) store used *full* wine glasses for the bettas, and its large enough for them to swim arounda little bit and have nice fins.

Same with my nearest Pet Store, except he uses lots of Dual Hexagons for Betta's.. its small but it still does have enough space for the Betta to swim a little.

I don't like the dual hexas, really. It stresses them out a little too much, in my opinion.

The set up at the pet store is nice, because they are far enough away from each other where they are mostly relaxed. The ones in walmart... half dead from exhaustion, etc.

My pet store uses cups, but they are as big as 4 of the little cups put together!

Thats a bit dangerous, though... One good fight, and they lose a lot of stock. Depends on the Betta, really. I'd rather them be alone in decent sized cups, then disturbing or frightening the other fish in the community tanks. bettas get territorially nasty when first intorduced , and I don't think bothering a community tank like that all of the time can be good for any of the fish there. the Betta'll be stressed, and so will the Betta's tank mates.

Thats what turned me off to the community tank idea, finally.

I can't wait till saturday. TWO betta....

I don't really like Dual Hexes either because its so tiny for the fish but its better then a cup.

Depends on what type of cup you get... I mean, I have a half liter cup that a betta would just ADORE...

Those wine glasses hold more than one of those betta hexs. (You think I'm kidding? I'm not. The wine glasses are actually pretty broad

And they are so pretty when they aren't freaking out over who their next door neighbor is, gives them a chance to display their personality in store.
