Hey guys,
Thanks so much for all the responses, I certainly have a huge respect for everyone sharing their experiences in this post. It just goes to show how many of us can relate on a topic like this, everyone has their own opinion about the possibilities of what the universe holds, whether scientific or unexplained paranormal activities etc.
As highlighted before, I'm not religious and I actually feel completely liberated about that. But then i have always been taught to question and to learn about the power of the human mind. One thing is for sure, science or religion will never have all the answers, in my view, but for me, science explains more than religion does. I don't think it's about choosing sides, as I'm open minded, but it's what I feel more comfortable with. But I certainly will never deny that gap between science and those purely unexplainable circumstances that we sometimes find ourselves experiencing.
For a little update, my sister pulled through the worst, the doctors said that it was pretty amazing she didn't die, given the state she was in when she was first admitted. However, she has currently been bed bound for 7 weeks and counting. Not sure if she will regain the use of her arms and legs and she has trouble with speech, but we are providing daily support to the fullest extent we can. She will go to a rehab unit when a bed is available. It's days like this I wish I was better off because I'd send her private as the sooner she receives specialist care the better the chances of not being paralysed. However, that's not to say the NHS haven't been great, they saved my sisters life and for that I'm ever thankful.
Thanks once again all. Appreciate the time you all took to contribute to this post
