Wah!! What is this!?

hello it's me again with yet another problem

I noticed on my betta this morning that it looks like his scales are discoloring or rubbing off around his head, in the area of what would be his chin and neck. Why is this? Is he stressed? He doesn't seem sick, I feed him today and the little hog ate well I also noticed (and you can't see it in the picture) that on his eye he has this little speck like a metallic blue color, it sorta reminds me of when a cat reflects light with its eyes. I haven't noticed it before....

I'm thinking that what I did last night might have some to do with it. I did a 50% water change but I added warm water because it's friggin cold here and the water he was in was cooler. So maybe the temperature change has someting to do with it?

I just don't know

i dunno, iv heard of scales falling off and rubbing off around a bettas head b4, but i dont remember what conclusion it all finally came to. id treat with melafix to prevent infection. i dont thing water change had anything to do wit it, i do the same with my bettas and their good.

There's a problem with the medication though The only things I can get here are:

Meth Blue and Malachite Green
Aquarisol
Anti Fungus stuff (don't know the brand) Aquatronics?
More anti fungus (I think it's tetracycline based)
Anit parasitic stuff (don't know the brand, Aquatronics?)
Neutra-Stress


Nothing like Bettafix, Melafix or anything like that... unless I have it fedexd from the states. Which i think I might end up doing
