ok, so i don't know if you read the other topic where i mentioned this, but i have four cats......i rescued a feral (i suspect ex pet that was dumped) female in labour, she had three kittens (she was in labour when i took her in, had the kittens the same night, and bonded instantly and very strongly to me), and i have had them ever since (nearly three years ago).

Anyhoo, i have needed to rehome them for the past four months or so, as a requirement of my job is that i am constantly bringing home strange dogs, which means the four cats must spend time shut in one room, while the dogs are with me (guide dogs in training, so i can't shut the dogs away from me, they have to be at my side 80% or more of the time they are at home).

i am being very picky about the kinds of homes they go to, so it has taken a long time to find the right people, but now one went yesterday, two more are booked and are leaving on 6th november, and the last is going the week after.......

waaaaahhhhhh!! :-( i'll miss my babies so much!!!!! It will be a better life for them, but much worse for me without them here.............
anyway, just thought i'd have a bit of a sook online, as everyone at work is very unsympathetic....(cat-hating dog people).

bye bye babies........

Ahhh, I'm so sorry to hear your babies are moving away. But, on the bright side, they are going to good homes, and the work you are doing with the dogs is for a great cause. :)

thanks dthoffsett, a little sympathy goes a long way!!

i have since been in contact with the lady that took the first cat, and she is settling in very well, which is great. :)
