i found what seems to be vinegar eels in my jar of yeast and tank water. There was little white worms near the surface and when i shook the jar, they all came crawling back up.
Are vinegar eels that easy to cultivate??

and added question, how to know/see if infusoria is present? do i need a microscope?

If the infusoria is densely populated you can hold a sample in a glass vial up to the light and see motion. However I use a microscope to decide when the infusoria is ready.

I use a dissecting scope with up to 80 times magnification for things like infusoria. They are easier to use than compound microscopes for me. The cheap USB microscopes might also work as well. In the past I could see a number of things like larger rotifers and ciliates without magnification, but not now. It is my belief, that fish fry mostly feed on the larger infusoria, though I would be open to any evidence to the contrary, so I don't see the need for large magnification. Full disclosure, I mostly view infusoria from local natural water sources rather than from cultures I have raised. All my cultures of infusoria that I have attempted crashed just as the population start growing.

Yes, there's good chances, vinegar eels can thrive with yeast.

While they are not really a part of infusoria. They don't feed on it. But they are a good food source for baby fish.
