Videos For Newbies

Personally, I think it would be good to have various types of multimedia available to members here. The only problem I see with it is that there are many ways to do things here and presenting one view in an instructional video might be confusing to some. Presenting ALL methods would be tedious to the photographer, and, as mentioned, require mucho bandwith.

I think the best way to go with this is to have someone start a video thread. If it flies and seems popular, I would think that it would behoove us to pin it. From the sponsoring point of view, I would be more than happy to observe how it develops. Final pinning is usually a group mod consideration in the larger forums. SH

IMO, this is a good idea, however, so few people (not just newbies) tend to ignore pinned threads, so pinned videos won't necessarily work well, especially for those people with 56k connections or so.

Another possible solution would be flash videos, though that would take work, moreso than space. And I suggested, or rather, posted a thread with a flash video about navigating forums and using the search option, but it did not work too well. *shrugs*

I Think its a great idea timmystood i would personaly watch them to find out if im doing water changes ect.. correctly, and would put a link to your videos in my signature as im always welcoming newbies to the tff
