Thought I would start a little thread to say thanks to you two for getting the Indian Red Tail Squirrel Loaches for me yesterday. Like you said, they were starving and happily ate a decent serving of ground-up "Tetra Prima Discus" around 2000 last night!

They are still a little skittish (3 hide out behind the removeable filter, but can easily get out to tfeed when they want), byt look a little fatter and I will try and get video clips and photos over the weekend.

I'm still trying to get over their size, they have the body circumference of baby Kuhli Loaches on a shorter ~4cm body, got a feeeling I will play it safe and let them grow up for a month at least in the Korrall60 QT with the Pearl Danio Fry before introducing them to the Rio240!

Nice to meet you both, good luck with the 8ft self-built Clown Loach tank (Oh the possibilities with a tank that big!!!!

) and those gorgeous Golden Nugget and Tiger Plecs you showed me yesterday. And good on you for giving us forum members a great price for fish!

8ft clown loach tank!!!

counds amazing!!

These guys are planning to do another collection of fish from Fareham in the very near future (I'm sure they will officially advertise this themselves) and I can tell you there are some interesting new additions to the price list posted this last week, like Ctenopoma congicum (Congo Bushfish, reaches ~8cm, lovely mottled colours and is safe with pretty much all but young fry... unlike acutirostre!) ;)

*waves* - gosh, I'm late getting to this (been busy with those tanks LOL!).

Really glad the loaches settled well for you - well our plecs have taken some real TLC - I now know why novices find it hard to keep golden nuggets alive - they are the most stressy fish I've ever kept. It took me a few days to get them eating and even now .... hoping an enormous tank with lots of hideouts will be just the ticket.

Those plecs turned out to be L199s (hypancistrus furunculus) but I'm gutted about them because there must have been something internal lingering - we lost two within days and are now paranoid about the remaining two. Fingers crossed these guys are doing okay though!

And the 8ft tank will hopefully be up and stocked by the weekend - I'm so excited!!!!!

Sorry to hear about the losses, lets hope the others pull through.

You MUST post pics of the 8ft tank and make us all green with envy!

I forgot to add to my PM this morning, if there is any chance you can do an official announcement thread of your next visit to Fareham and your deadlines for fish orders from the forum members, I'm sure I would not be the only one who will be be grateful...
