Very Sick Krib

I think she has it now too. She has what looks to be a few pinpoint holes on her head, and the flesh just above her mouth looks to be eroding away, kind of like how it looked on my male krib in the picture, only not as severe. She is still eating as of this morning, but she is acting alittle shy. I think she is really stressed because her mate is gone now, and they seemed to be really bonded together. I still don't have water info yet, but I am going by the LFS on the way home from work to buy a test kit, so I will know more in a little bit. I am not sure if I should treat the whole tank, or move her into the hospital tank and treat her by herself. I havnet had a filter in my big tank for about 3 weeks now because of all of the medications I was using, so who know what it will look like.

Just the Carbon should be removed but the rest is left intact for the bacteria levels to remain correct and the tank still needs filteration of some sort.

OK here goes with the values...

pH=6.4-6.8
total alkalinity/buffering capacity=80-120
nitrate=80
nitrite=0
hardnes=120
ammonia=0

Don't worry Caz, I didn't think you to be rude at all! But LoveMyOscar is right, I removed the filter cartride because it has carbon in it. The filter is still running, but there is no cartridge in it. I don't have a fancy one that allows me to fill the cartridges, they come pre-made so I just pulled the cartridge out. I assume my Nitrates are up because of this. I plan on investing in a new filter with a Bio-Wheel soo (that is unless you guys have a better suggestion!) but i have to quit spending so much money on medications first! I have not done a water change in a week, and I usually do them weekly so I will don that first, and also replace the filter cartridge. When doing my water changes, I use Prime and Neutral regulator. I also bought some Stress Zyme today. So now my question is....should I treat the female krib in my big tank with the ither fish (that don't seem to be affected) or should I clean out the hospital tank that I used with my male krib and treat her in there? (It still has the same H2) in it form when I put my male in there and he died). By the way, I REALLY appreciate all of the help you guys are giving me and all of your time. I hope one day to be able to help other like you are heling me :)

but I would still treat with metaflix (or something like that)
do you mean Melafix? I have that but I also purchased Hex-A-Mit today which is supposed to treat HITH...would you go ahead with that too or hold off for a bit and see what happens after a few H2O changes..

I'm glad you getting it sorted. :thumbs:
