Well, I was sat at my computer, trying to think of words to add to my dissertation to "pad it out" (stupid word limits!!) and i heard a plop 
I look in my betta tanks in the window next to me, and i see my beautiful white betta (avatar) is missing!! He had jumped through a TINY gap between the lid and tank and was on my window sill!! 
I couldn't get hold of him cos he was flapping around and i couldn't move the tank at so i had to pick him up by his tail It sounds cruel i know, but at least he's alive - He was starting to dry out!!
He has a little bit of his tail missing from where i picked him up but other than that he's fine now.. I was panicking SO much though as im hoping to try spawning him again in a couple of weeks!!!
