So A new Department Store opened up nearby in the retail park (B+M Bargains)
Was having a browse and spotted some (think 3G) Tanks with Hood, Filter, Background and decorations for £8.00.
Filter looked good from what i could tell, Sponge internal canister filter.
Look Very Nice and perfect for a betta.

 that is fantastic!! I may have to invest in one of those, so many options you could do in an awesome little tank like that just need to find more sockets.....

I am Going to get one in the morning, as Need one ATM for the New Male I bought. Will post some pix tommorrow.

what is b&m

this was the gallagher retail, coventry.

b&m is the name of a shop actually its full name is b&m bargains many opened in old glynn webb decorating shops when they closed down if you have one of those near you
scot :)

apologies, is £9.99. still a bargain for the size of the filter and the airpump. just been and got mine - have seen the same tanks on their own for £7-10(without anything).
Will set it up later on as need to sneek it in once the wife goes to Grans.

Also Noticed it comes with an airpump and tubing.

Here is the tank, Very Happy With it.

Canister turned out to be a Air Driven Sponge filter with Compartment for Media and Carbon and sponge above it. Very Nice and quiet, once tap fitted.

And here is the male who is going in it.

I have that exact same tank from a different shop. Though I would rather take a hammer to it than imprison a betta in it, nowhere near big enough . I have plans to turn mine into a steampunk shrimp tank. It'll need a complete casemod fitting to the exterior ( I need airpressure gauges!! ) but should be pretty good when done.

I do rather like the quirky shape of the sponge filter, and to get the pump and filter both with the tank is a very good deal indeed. I chucked the hideous plastic plant and vile looking food though >.<

Wow. Looks like a great tank. I don't live in the UK, though. If I were setting up a 3 gallon, here is what I would be expecting to pay.

<$10 For hood. I'd go DIY and paint or stain it.
$5 for light socket
$7 Filter
$10 Plants/sand/decorations
$15 for tank (Craigslist/LFS/Local Aquarium Club)

So yeah, and after taxes it would be around $50. I sure do think you found a deal there!

Oh wow, here where I live in Canada, you'd be expecting to pay minimum 80$ for a 3 gallon kit, that is, if it's completely brand new. Lucky for me, I found a 39 and 10 gallon that came with everything for only 100$. :)
