How long have you had the barbs and danios for? It may be the PH that is saving you... The required GH for rosy barbs is 10dgh so maybe they are a bit tolerant to higher levels.of mineral content?

1 danio at least 5 years, the other up to 3 years. For Rosy barbs, around 2 years I think.

Leopard. I know the tank size I have is too small but I'm not returning them they are too old.

I’ll test the water in my own aquarium to make sure it is not that hard. I will also give my mom my kanamycin sulfate medicine.

My well water is as hard as it gets and all of my 20+ adult bettas +fry are fine. I would very very very much doubt that is the cause.

Start giving her epsom salt baths 1-2 times daily. Don't feed her for awhile (upto a week preferably).
