Vegetables And Fish!?!?!

Yes, as long as they're not going to decompose and foul the water.

Good ones are; green lettuce (not iceberg! It needs blanching first), green beans (lightly cooked), broccoli stalks (split and blanched), peas (lightly cooked and squeezed out of the 'shell'), sweet potato (again, lightly cooked), courgette/zucchini (blanched), apple slices, melon rinds (only the rind, with a tiny amount of flesh left; i give my fish them after my kids have finished with them!).

'Blanching' means having boiling water poured over them and left to sit for a few minutes, then the hot water poured off and rinsed in cold water.

Ok awesome. I had gave my oscar some broccoli stalk and he seemed to love it but I wanted to make sure because I didn't want to harm him

One of my oscars love banana so do my urau but I dont give it them too often as they make a right mess lol

Yea I only feed him a piece at a time to test it

A lot of people feed fish peas once a week to help with digestion and avoid or cure constipation.  As fluttermoth said just make sure you remove the pea from its shell.  I also feed my fish corn and they absolutely love it.  Same thing as peas...make sure you remove the corn from the shell.

Im gonna try that out do I have to boil the peas or anything

Yes, but not for too long. Two or three minutes is plenty.

I keep coming back to refer to this, wish it was pinned somewhere!

Agreed XD

My plecs love mushroom, cucumber & corgettes. They won't touch lettuce or carrots though. I just put them in from frozen & they soon thaw out in the warm water, I weigh them down with a small strip of lead pushed through the base of the vegetable.

Ahh I see I feed mine sone peas and they loved it

My otos love the zuke strips -- but they only come out to feed on these at night!  So I never see them enjoying it.   I put in th blanched strips and next morning, huge chunks are missing.
