Uv Lighting

I am looking to buy a tank and the one i am interested in is currently being used as a vivarium and comes with a

1 ) 12W UV light (blue colour apparently) Is this ok to use with tropical Fish?
2) 300W heater. Is this ok for a tank of this size (4ft)

What do you think of this tank for £150. Honest opinions please, dont want to fall at the first hurdle.

The lamp is unsuitable for tropical fish. It is neither bright enough nor of the right spectrum. Swap it out for a regular white lamp. You will probably need to replace the ballast switch or starter depending on the setup. Heater is okay for normal situations, i.e. a regularly heated room.
