Ive got a big bag of this and was reading about someone on here using it in there tank after they cleaned it. Is it ok to use after cleaning, also what could happen with the ph and salt levels.

Rinsed thoroughly several times over in a bucket or basin till the water is virtually clear, it is fine to then use. It won't affect your PH or Salt levels.

Play sand has to be inert, so it won't affect your pH, and it's not from a beach, so there's no salt.

It is full of bits and light particles that take ages to sink and would cloud your tank, so it does need a lot of washing.

Just half fill a bucket with sand, top up with water, give the whole thing a stir, and then pour off the dirty water. Repeat, being ruthless about pouring away any particles that don't sink immediatly, even if you lose a bit of 'good' sand along with it, and it'll be fine to add to your tank.

i love seeing 240 volt sockets in easy splash range, it makes me feel all crispy inside. I would be pretty worried about condensation if i were in your boots.

Lol I know it was only there cause of the light underneath the cupboard. So I could take a pic as I havent got a lid For it. I'll have to make one just dunno what out of yet

Looking good mate, maybe need to sort something out with the lid or the plug sockets maybe use a different socket and get a extension and keep it away from the tank :)

If it were me i would swap the placement of heater and filter around so the fluval heater is at a 45 deg angle on the back and the sponge filter blowing accross the tank

Thats a fair point, the prob is I didnt know if the heater can submerge completely, as it has a min line on it, but also says in the destructions "but with out exceeding the depth of 100cm-39inches" the heater is a fluval e100, its worth more than the tank lol
If anyone finds out if it can submerge please let me know so I can change them round.

I have the E200 submerged been at the back of my 350L since April :good:

I use the min line whe doing a fast water change not to drop below that line
