Using Chinese evergreen in a fish tank

I've got a few leaves that haven't wilted under water, but I suspect there is enough of the plant above the water's surface... and they'll die sooner or later, if I don't get them above the water... 25 years ago, when I did my 1st Potho's in a tank ( it was accidental back then )... I had a vine growing in the dirt, that laid over a tank, & got in the water's surface... the vine started rooting like crazy, & the vine growing past that part that dipped into the tank, was twice the size, than the part between the pot & the tank...

I put Pothos with the stem here I cut it off submerged, and most of the time, a water root appears and heads for the substrate, while the plant thrives above.
I wish I had used them more than peace lilies, which get huge. I string the pothos up by windows, as they do need light above.

yes, we talked about, but the forum doesn't seem to save private conversations for very long... I was going to tell you his method, but I no longer have it...

That's fine. I just needed to know I hadn't imagined it. I suspect I'll glue it to a rock and sink it on top the substrate and let the roots figure out what they want to do. I like the look of the roots.
