Me and my mate have been house-sitting our other mate's big corner tank (ie, sitting around drinking all his alcohol, putting our feet up on his coffee table and occasionally turning the tank lights on and off). We were recovering from our hangover this morning when my mate jumps up in horror...there's this weird thing crawling across the glass like some sort of slug...but not a fat one. A space slug. It was about three inches long, the body was the thickness of a piece of string and just covered in long thin spikes. Gross. We can't work out whether it's some sort of coral-chewing parasite, or our mate just paid a lot of money for it and it's meant to be in there. Anybody ever seen anything like this, or were we just having a really bad trip?
