Tank leaked, just rescued fish in 2cm of water. Filter and heater destroyed. With no spare tank heater or filter available I need to rehome these fish urgently tonight in my other tanks I am going away for 5 days on Fri and can't set up a new tank or buy filter and heater before I go.

2 options for rehoming Corries - Share with guppies but tank has bare glass bottom The only sand substrate tank I have houses adult male BN and 3 kribs just starting to show mating colouration. Both my be agressive about sharing territory with corries. Will corries be OK there?

with the kribs showing signs of breeding i wouldn't chance the cories in that tank, could you put a thin layer of sand in your guppy tank?

I would stick them with the Guppies for a few days. I had Kribs and Corys when I first started and it did not end up well...

I would not recommend keeping corys with kribs under any circumstances. Kribs have been known to pick their eyes out.

I don't think keeping them on a bare bottom is a good idea either. A film develops quickly that is loaded with bacteria. This wouldn't hurt fish swimming above, but it's not good for bottom dwellers to be wallowing in it. What you might do is take some sand out of the other tank and cover the bottom of that bare tank. You don't need a lot (1/4")and can always add more later on.
