Hi everyone. Newbie here.
I have a 36" x 14" x 17" (142ltr /37gal) tank.
I am wanting to put it on the solid hardwood table pictured.
The table measures 36" x 18" x 17".
The measurement from the outside of each to leg is 29"...
Is that going to ok as the total top length is 36".
Hope I'm clear about what I'm trying to say 😀.

That is one sturdy looking solid table. I believe you would be just fine using that as a tank stand.

I agree it looks solid! The thing isn't that the tank will likely suddenly crash down. More like the legs will have so much weight they may dent the flooring or at least the carpet in a permanent way. I would try to center the tank front to back so you have most weight over the legs in that direction. With a bit of edge to catch some drops of water. Is the top polyurethaned or otherwise waterproof? I'd use I think it.

Thanks so much.😀 It's on a solid floor, no wood or carpet. I understand about centering it. It's polyurethane all over so is waterproof..
Should I put a polystyrene layer between tank & tabletop.?

Yes, have a 1/2 to 1 inch thick sheet of polystyrene foam between the tank and table.

You can also put polystyrene foam sheets on the back and sides to help insulate the tank and reduce heating costs in winter. Mind you it might not be an issue in Qld.
