I have recently added a few lava rocks into my mbuna tank to add hiding spaces. Well one major thing that I forgot was to sanitize them somehow! My demasoni has now developed a cottony(made of word!) patch of white on it's side... I'm positive it is from these rocks because i see a patch on the rocks too!. Anyway I have a 10gl cycled and has 2 male guppies in it. I'm going to move the guppies in with my blue rams and move the demasoni into the 10gl (by himself!) for quarintine(sp) start to medicate with pimafix.

How do I catch this demasoni with a tank full of rocks? Would placing a mason jar in the tank work and simply pull it out when he goes in?

Help!

If the 10 gallon is near to the current tank, try using two nets, one to herd him in to the other and then just lift him out into the next tank. Provided the water temp and parameters are similar enough to not shock him. Otherwise I would herd him into another container with his own old aquarium water to prevent shocking him. Whatever you do, do it slowly since the fish is already ill.
