ok so, this is a little wired,
i dont have pictures of him upset right now, though
when i put him in his own tank he gets upset, swims down to the bottom and hides comes up every now and then for air, though not as much as he should if i put him into a 30G tank i have parted into 3 zones with other males in the other zones he swims around for a min or 2 then go's to the bottom and hides
he was attacked once b4, by a small male i thought to be female, (got him as a fry, i was told he was a she, and i didnt know about how to find the egg spot, at the time at least anyway point is i took there word for it that he was a she)
anyway long story short at the time i had 4 female 1 male 1 tank, started to read into betta care and found best to have females with females and male away from the females unless breeding,
well b4 i moved them into there own tanks, 1 female turned out to be male and almost killed the older male,
well a year latter now i still have the females and 2 males, but the older male (about a year old now) is still very timid wont flair at other males and sits at the bottom of the tank)
and well unless i have him in a small healing tank he wont even swim around at all, even if i put him into the empty breeding tank i have set up swims around for a wile then down to the bottom to hide
any ideas what might be wrong? or is it just that he likes to be alone in small place's witch i find hard to believe as when i first got him he didnt want to be alone, ~,~ he wanted in with a red male platy, didnt fight at all, just swim around next to him, all though ~,~ at one point he did try to mate with the platy ~,~ saddly not a joke. lol would have been a 1 of a kind if they had of had baby fish lol
