Ups.. Rant

Hi Filefish

Sorry to hear of your troubles :(

Where are the fish coming from? Asia, USA or Uk?

How sure are you that the seller has even sent them?

I've bought in a couple from Thailand before, but it only took 3 days. The fish were in good health though :)

I would seriously chase up UPS and the seller as a matter of urgency.

there coming from USA.
i didnt pay anything for them per say..
but i did swap a clump of java moss for them.

Contact seller and ask for the tracking number, then call ups and give them that number, thats what I did with my tank and they nrearranged delivery for the next day. Usually parcels are only held for a certain time before being returned to the sender, with some it is 3 days others it is 7 days. You really need to phone and find out what is happening.

If your land line is BT, 08457 numbers are now toll free or at the minimum discounted, I remember something about this advertised on telly a few months ago.

I'm hoping they haven't been sent out as they would be dead by now poor things.

ill phone them tommorow, and i wouldnt under estimate a betta. if they can survive in the little cups in walmart im sure they may beable to survive this...

The biggest issue would be whether there was enough oxygen in the bag for it to survive. Ammonia would build up but the carbon dioxide would push the pH down low enough that the ammonia would be non-toxic ammonium. If and when it does arrie and is still alive, you would need to get it out of the bag water immediately. Otherwise, as soon as the bag is opened and air gets in, the pH would shoot up and the ammonia would suddenly become toxic again.

okay so i contacted UPS.
and the couldnt help they said i needed the tracking number to enquire about any deliveries to my house,

That's very odd. I have called on packages before without a tracking mumber and they pulled them right up just with my address. I guess it could be an issue with overseas shipping since you said it was coming from the US but ot certain. I seriously believe that the fish was never shipped.

ive contacted the seller,
i asked him for a copy of the email UPS sent him and
he says he deleted it and that he has not recieved the moss.
i have a strong belief that he has not even sent me them,
and he has recieved my moss, i think that i have been scammed

Name and shame.

Not nice I know but if they haven't meet that end of the bargain members need to know.
