ok, getting my new tank sorted nicely now, current inhabitants include:

6 neons,
6 black neons,
1 otto (he will get some friends soon I promise!)
2 adult platies (and a few babies that will go when big enough)
5 amano shrimps

Probably need a few more plants in it as it looks a little bare and I prefer the planted look.

The tank is 25 US gallons so I have space for a few more inhabitants, on the short list are:

honey gourami's
sparkling gourami's (would probably need a lot more plants
kribs (always wanted to keep a pair of these, but may be too big and agressive - also just how many caves and hideaways do they need??)
rams (more plants and hideaways needed?)
pygmy cories or even other cories - would cories be ok with shrimps and would pymies shoal in the neon's space?

going to let everyone settle in a bit first and I need to wait until my new filter beds in nicely so I can remove the old one before I add anymore, but would be interested in peoples opinions on what to do next

corry cats for sure :D a school of atleast 6, and I wouldn't recommend getting any rams as they too like to school and you should really only have a school of no less than 5 and in your 25 with all those fish it wouldn't work too well sorry :p but gouramis are nice... I'd say put a few more fake plants in and mabye 1-3 gouramis WITH the cory cats! googd luck :D

I would go for 6-8 pygmy corys or 4-6 (6 would be best) full size corys.

I'd say juliis or pandas they max out a 2"

As FishKrazy said Juliis or pandas would be a good choice.

I currently have 4 Julli corys and are very happy with them. I plant to add another 2 in the near future.
