Upgrade Hob Filter

Hi I have a 29 g bowfront from Petsmart The brand is Topfin it came with all the standard equipment . I already updated my lightfixture and really want to update my filter to, can you name me some good filters ?? I would also go with a little stronger filter would that help me to get some cristal clear water ??

What kind of fish do you have in the tank?

I like canister filters, since you can connect things inline. I would suggest either a Rena FilStar XP2 or Eheim Ecco 2234. The Ecco would be allot better for the price, since it already comes with filter media, so you can run it straight out of the box.

I have 6 tiger barbs (loved them ) and a red tail black schark (wonderfull guy ) and I would like to add 3 otto's
