Thanks wuv.

How do I release her of her eggs?

heh? whatchoo talkin' bout?

She'll be just fine. You don't have to spawn her or anything, she looks perfectly healthy. :)

Well, if she is full of eggs and I do not have an intention of breeding her, does she become eggbound?

i was wondering that to, i think eggbound is wen she is unable to expell the eggs wen she becomes too full, im not exactly sure ( ima a betta noob ). i dont think they just become egg bound from not being bred, i think there is an alternate reason.

normally i believe if a female becomes eggboiund, and she is not being bred she will just relase (and most likely eat) the eggs. However there are cases where the female cannot release the eggs properly and that's another story.

Tehcnically speaking, females have eggs in their systems all the time whether or not you see htem plump. Its just during breeding they become extra plump from the extra number of eggs in their bodies.

Eggbound means she is unable to release her eggs due to some sort of blockage in the egg spot, and they continue to build up in her as she produces more, it does NOT mean she's just full of eggs as Betta luva just said. Eggbound is something that is rare and is considered a "sickness" in the respect that it could eventually kill her. But once again, it is rare! When she is just "full of eggs" she is just that, full of eggs, not eggbound.

Females will naturally release their eggs if they are not given the chance to spawn. Usually they will eat them as she releases them, so it's rare that you actually ever see this happen (you won't find the eggs on the bottom of her tank, as she'll eat them right away). So it doesn't require a male for her to release the eggs, she will do it on her own eventually (I've heard about monthly).
