Update On The Cycling

Hi guys,

Thought I'd give a quick update on the cycling.
I got the API test kit and have been monitoring every two days. Water changes every other day of about 50%.

My ammonia today is at 1ppm while nitrites and nitrates are both 0. Ph is 6.4 or 6.6 so probably 6.5.

After two and a half weeks - should I not be seeing some nitrites yet?

I have quite a lot of plants now. Could they have an effect on nitrite lack of appearance?

Ammonia test post today's water change has brought it to 0.25ppm.
I purposely did one before water change to compare ammonia results. Interesting. I forgot how much I love test tubes and aseptic technique
