beautiful pics bettaman.
i can attest to the fact that winter spawns take longer to mature. i am a big believer in the benefits of sunlight and bettas and up here in canada, we don't get a whole amount of sun in the winter. my last 2 spawns from before christmas are both slow growing as opposed to my summer spawn which was fast growing in comparison. genes have a little to do with it too, inbreeding too many generations causes slow growth, as does breeding a pair too soon after a failed mating attempt. always better too give them enough time before spawning again. ;)

yes i would go with most of that but i dont have sunlight in my fish house untill the summer when the door is open or it would be too hot in there, i think on this one its to do with the geno as all my other december and my feb spawns have really done well this was the only spawn that seem slow to grow and it was also a small spawn only a dozen fry so there has been plenty of food and water changes still it may turn out to be the best who knows.......love your training pictures ....
