Update on 55 gallon!

My gourami is in! 24 hours now and so far all is well! Since my mystery snail got sick and then subsequently passed....he had been so depressed and hiding a lot in the 20. Now...he is out and about, not bothering the tetras or cories, and seems to love having the bigger swimming space! They are still a little apprehensive but are getting used to him.

Here is a video I took today. Sorry for the poor quality but he's still mad at me and doesn't want me near the tank so I had to zoom in. Lol. I tried sitting on the couch for a while and he just hid....turned my head away and he came out but as soon as I looked at him again he would hide....dang fish! Lol.

Very nice tank, what is the plant floating on top? Amazon frogbit? I love the dangling roots, and your Gourami should enjoy the subdued lighting

Thanks! Yes, I have amazon frogbit, that's the long rooted one, but also salvinia minima. It's shorter roots but grows like a weed in my tanks apparently....lol.

So far my gourami loves it. Caught him playing in the bubbler too. That was funny for a bigger fish. Lol. Hopefully he won't become aggressive to anything in there so I can put something else in the 20 gallon that I had him in. I'm going to give it a couple weeks I think just to make sure, but so far so good!
