I just came back from dinner and my pregnant Platy is not doing well. She's mostly just "sitting" there, very lethargic, and really can't/doesn't swim. She had herself propped up, but when she unpropped herself, she went belly-up, then fell to the bottom of the tank. She's not dead, 'cause I can see her gills moving. Her mouth is open and not moving.

Around 2:20 she seemed okay. She was by herself a little more than usual, so I thought maybe she was going to give birth soon. She also appeared to be 'panting' then.

Anybody, somebody? (I'm guessing there's nothing I can do, but I'm going to try anyway).

Edit: What about the fry? Is there something I can do to try and save them? Forgot to mention...other two fish in the tank are just fine.

I'm beginning to wonder if she doesn't have dropsy. She's incredibly round (I thought she was pregnant) and her scales stick out a little on her sides. Maybe she isn't pregnant after all... Do I need to treat other fish in the tank if this is dropsy?

Thanks.
