Hey, just wondering if anyone has any cool unusual fish in their community tank, something a bit different to the usual neons and guppys etc, but who live happily alongside community fish??

Al

dwarf cichlics and smaller breeds of loaches.i have a pair of german rams and and some smaller loaches in mine.

what else are they living with?
African Butterfly fish (Pantodon buchholzi)
Splashing tetras (Copiena & Copella sp)
Hatchetfish (Carnegiella & Gasteropelecus sp)
Archerfish (Toxotes sp)
Elephant nose (Mormyrids)
gobies & gudgeons
blue-eye rainbowfish (Pseudomugil sp)
threadfin rainbowfish (Iriatherina werneri)

Flag fish, Pencil fish, Apisto sp., Killifish, Ram

Too many to list and think of off the top of my head. The only problem with unusual fish is finding them...

My whole community is a bit odd but those that live happily with smaller normal fish would be -

Glass Catfish
Reedfish (ropefish)
Halfbanded Spiney Eel

in the past I have had panchax too which are lovely friendly fish.

I also have spotted climbing perch but I wouldn't keep them with anything smaller than 2"
