i got on well with an Elite stingray internal filter
they come in 3 sizes from 25ltr , 50 ltr and 75 ltr they are on ebay from £10 inc postage they are also very quiet (if you're interested i'll give you the link of the man i got my 3 elites from)
also get a cheap quiet air pump (again on ebay) and an air stone to give you lots of surface movement mine are really happy with that as at the moment i dont have many plants in the temp tank
