found one of my lovely Bronze dead this morning but i can`t work out why! I have been treating for white spot but none of my cory have not been effected. The one that has died is what i beleive to be male as he was involved with my female when she was dropping her eggs, they were doing the T shape and a wierd dance thing! I have included a couple of pics as i would like to know what has happened. In the 2nd pic you can see a large white spot, so is it a female??!!

Certainly looks female. Looks quite big and fat. Whats that white stuff on its face?

I take it from that comment you don't have them in brackish? Sorry if you know but Brackish is half way between marine and freshwater. Cories are strictly freshwater.

The are in a tropical fresh water setup. I did have 5 cory, 3 albino and 2 bronze. Now i thought this one was the male as it got up to some weird things with the female when she was laying her eggs a while ago! As for the white do you mean the belly? Im not too sure.

In the first picture the cory has white bits on its face?

I'm quite sure this cory was female. You can tell by the big gut it has in the first picture. unless whatever it died from caused it to swell? What was the comment about them being in brackish water about?

Oh right, that was a reflection on the fishes wet body, tbh he/she was in perfect looking condidtion and as never shown any sign of illness. Weird, if your right and it is a female then when the other female was laying eggs this one dancing round it and doing the T thing!!!! AS for the comment about brackish, i have no clue what was meant by that!

Aww I see about reflection. As far as I can see the fish looks fine (Apart from being dead). I've noticed when my albino cories are spawining everyone just joins in on the frenzy, can't tell whos who really unless a female is laying eggs. Everyone gets excited and munches on the eggs also. I'd bet money that fish in the pic was a female.
Sorry I can't be of help, and sorry for your loss.
