undivided male and female

why did you just pm me the same thing you wrote here? i responded to the pm before i read the post anywho...

well now i have decided to scratch my cambodian pair as the male would not make a nest for either 3 of my females even tho all three gained vertical bars. my newest female who is huge scared the crap out of the male cause she is rele huge and she has huge gill plates like a males body structure. so i took out my cambodians and my red female and left in my large female and i added my royal blue ct but now the female has horizontal bars again. i am so confused. my fish are being vey very annoying today. :sly:   :grr:

no but the tank is full i don't have the space for another large tank right now as im setting up a larger one to use for the fry if the pair ever decides to spawn. i do not need a heater the temp only drops to around 70 at night and is in the high 80s low 90s all day. the fry tank will have a heater during the winter and fall. i know the tank size isn't very good but it does work and they do not seem to be bothered by each other at the moment i think i may take out the female put her with my other female and put her back with the male in a few days.
Why dont you use the large tank to breed and the small one for the fry?

Ok, if they ignore eachother in a 2.5 and wont pay any attention, why would he need a ten? I could see if the male was aggressive and the female couldn't get away, but there have been no problems in the 2.5 so why flip out about it?

I've seen all of his posts and I think some of you are being to hard on him. He's conditioning them, reading up, even has a large grow out tank. Maybe you guys could lay off a little.
