Under Substrate Heating Cables

I was thinking of getting an under substrate heating cable, or one that goes onto an external filter. Do the under substrate heating cables have wires that are unsightly? If anyone has one of these cables, please could they post a picture of what the wire going into the tank looks like? I've been a big fan of these heaters, but I want my tank to be a work of art, without hardware appearing everywhere.

My cable just provides some gentle warmth in the gravel to keep the nutrients flowing and keep the substrate sweet.
