Unable To Pm

I appreciate I haven't been around or logged on for a while but I seem to have lost the ability to send a PM.

If I try to send on it tells me there is a board error and I do not have permission to use this function.

Additionally, my "0 New Messages" or whatever it said has disappeared from the top of the forum for my account.

I have just tried to PM (in the last 5 minutes) and have tried logging out and logging in again.

I would be grateful if you could let me know why.

I believe that you need to have made 12 (?) posts since the new anti-spam rules came into place.

If you have more than 10 or 12 you just need to make one post before you can PM again, should now be able to pm.

That is my understanding too, but I think you need to post in a section where it will count towards your post count, so posting in this section won't fix the problem.

Don't know if it was a temporary change BTT but when the porn spam attack happened, we could post in this section to be able to PM again.

Previously this section did not count towards the post count, it did after the attack. As I say, it may have been a temporary thing.

EDIT This post counted to my post count, so it seems you can still post in here.

I remember William saying at the time that it was a temporary measure. It must never have been put back again............
