But then realised perhaps you mean my iphone is not accepting the cookies from the forum or the forum is not setting the cookies for my iphone.

To start just make sure the phone is accepting cookies from the site.

I have tried several different settings at the moment i changed, for iPhone Safari -
 
cookies - always allow
 
Block pop up - off
 
Fraudulent settings - off
 
and have previously cleared all cookies and data
 
And have tried different combos of the above, so far nothing made any difference to signing in issues.
 
Do bear in mind my other phone which is windows has the same issues with same sort of setting adjustments etc

I have no problem on an ipad mini 2. I've used both the mobile version and full version with no issues. And site remembers user name and password.

As a general rule when some people can get in and others can't it's usually something on the user's environment. When it's a problem with the site it usually is something lots of people notice.

I am certainly open to suggestions as what to try and resolve this issue.
 
So that would be more than welcome and I can let you know the outcome.
 
SInce this happens not only using my home wifi but also outside at different locations using 3G or 4G wireless I still have the same issues, so its not really a IP address issue? .... or is it?

Have finally found a way to get my new iPhone to sign in to this forum.
 
my iPhone has iOS 8 and this has a feature called 'Request Desktop Website'

A litle update, I have just updated to iOS 9, the issues of signing in cropped up again, since its a new OS of course this has been changed and does not tell you how to, so after searching online found a way to get the 'Request Desktop Site', which has been changed slightly in the method of how to get this.
 
Start by pulling up a mobile website on Safari on iPhone or iPad etc, once it's loaded to the page of your choice, tap and hold the Refresh icon, semi-circle arrow on right in the URL bar and you'll see the option to "Request Desktop Site" at the bottom. Click on that, and should be already signed in to the forum or continue signing in, that shoudl do the trick.

Just ran in to this issue today...
 
I'm a new user, and am looking for a forum home. I thought this would be a good site, but today tried to login from my iPhone 6 running 8.1
 
At first I just couldn't get anything other than a "you need to login to use those functions" kind of email, then I was told that an administrator had removed my posting ability. So I emailed an administrator, and very quickly received helpful replies from Chad at AZ Fishkeeping. I was able to login from an iPad at work... so we quickly realized it wasn't my account, but my phone.
 
I've got to say, that if I can't login from my phone, I'll probably look elsewhere. Any recent developments figuring this out?

Have you tried 'Request Desktop Site', press the refresh icon on URL bar for a few seconds and should get a pop up with request desktop site option, click on that and see if that helps any. Sometimes have to repeat this twice to make it comply.

Worth a try anyhow.
