Yep, it's gotta be those &$@* goldfish. Comets are okay, but I dont like the ones where it looks like you can see their brain, or they have HUGE bubbles under their eyes. There are some ugly fish out there that I like, but some of those goldies are just gross.

how in the hell are bettas in any way ugly?? seriously, thats one of the dumbest things ive heard..or maybe you were just saying this to get a rise outta the betta people..either way its so not true, I think they are the most beautiful fish and im sure plenty of people would agree. they are one of the most widely colored fish with beautiful flowing fins, how is that ugly??

the only fish i would say is ugly are pirannas and plecos

Beauty is, in fact, cliche aside, in the eye of the beholder. I find Bettas to be wholly icky to look at. OTher people like them, but my opinion of them isn't up for a vote. It's also not up for the whim of a bully (you). You don't have to like my opinion or agree, but this isn't a logic problem, so you don't get to grade the test.

Oh lord here we go again Well as always I come down on the side of the Bettas but everyone is entitled to an opinion even if it is the wrong one . That being said my vote for ugliest fish is one of those brain goldfish too. Although in the world of saltwater they don't call it a dog faced puffer for nothing.

Maybe I think ugly is fish with abnormally long fins which inhibit their ability to properly swim.

Have you ever really looked at their face? They dont look happy. Maybe I dont think that fish that look pissed off are pretty. Also, just because something is ugly doesn't mean I dont like it.

what is everyone problem? my god, I am not the immature one here and did not intend to argue, you and the other person are the one continuing and argueing..I stated my opinion on what someone said. period.end of story.drop it. your the one whos immature by continuing it and just adding to the fire, which there was none in the first place if people didnt over react. anyways ignoring those who are firey I agree about the big headed goldfish..and I do agree bettas have ugly faces like bulldogs almost, but overall they are beautiful fish and who ever said there fins inhibit them to swim are uneducated about them.

bettas can also be short finned by the way. their faces and mouths serve a very important purpose; to pick food off the surface of the water like mosquito larvae. i always think of my plakats like they are dogs (pitbulls come to mind). they sure act like them sometimes
beauty is in the eye of the beholder that's for sure, i also think arowanas are absolutely beautiful
