I don't know much about platies but I saw Blue Coral Platies in a shop and quite liked them.

Aaah Yes! I finally found out! I have 2 Oreo platies! They came from my blue mickey mouse platy which is strange because they look absolutely nothing like blue mickey mouse platies...

One of my friends had a gold twin bar platy and she got so many different colors of platies, like she got One Oreo Platy/Silver Wag Platy(they look the same) and she got some with Red Tiger Panda Platy, I have no clue were I found it out.I know that type of stuff, I have two still alive fry(they're not really fry, there 2'' +) but they look almost nothing like there mom, because there dad was a blue mickey mouse fish. Here's some pics(the moms the first one, then her two fry.)

Ya, I'm actually trying to figure out what type of fish the fish in the second picture is. Some one suggested Red Wag platy, but normally they look more like this:

Justeco, I find the references that you listed as a poor representation of available platies. Each one seems to have a good variety of "pet shop" varieties of platies but none of them lists the real species of platy that are available. There are over 15 different species that go under the generic term of platy but all pet shop varieties are crosses between one or two species of platy and maybe a swordtail or another platy species. It means lots of color and fin variations but does not include most species that properly go by the name of platy. As a breeder of wild type Xiphophorus, which includes both platies and swordtails, I find the simple crosses that give interesting color and fin shapes, interesting but not applicable to my stock. I am going to say that the natural variation of wild type swordtails and platies can be far more interesting than any pet shop variety, but that is just my opinion.
