Those clip lights came with the Azoo aquavase tank - which are pretty cool!

Those are Azoo palm filters - good up to 3 gallons

I wondered that too, I thought it was carbon though like those new carbon sponges that are out

Anyway....since I have community azoo's I just use filter floss, it works great too

So I actually don't need to put that carbon piece in there? Hmmm... Thinking about it and maybe I can just remove that black sponge and replace it with carbon so the filter isn't overstuffed.....
