I have two male rats who have been together since they were ready to sell.
They have always got on well, curled up together and playing, with once in a blue moon punch up.

Lately they have been bickering and fighting more, i have made sure they are well fed and watered, that they r handled regularly, cleaned out, and they have a variety of new toys and chews etc all the time.

Any thing else i can try to calm them down? i really dont want to end up seperating them, as they were fine b4.

Any advice appreciated, thanx

just sounds like that have reached puberty and are arguing over who is the boss. They usually settle down, especially if they have been together for a while (since they were young).
Make sure they get plenty of fruit and veges. And if they use a wheel perhaps get a second wheel for the other side of the cage.

they have probably just started to mature, and are fighting for dominance

Thank you for all your advice, was just getting worried as one ended up with a black eye and both with bitten tails.

PICS of the cuties :good: i wanna get some female rats i have a cage but wanna get it ready and stuff first have made some hammocks from fleece, and have covered a level (shelf) in fleece need some toys and stuff for them :)
