I asked about one of my male platies having what I thought at first to be fin rot ( first picture it’s next to the glass so can see both sides) but then it’s scales look to be coming away from the body was suggested this is most likely a internal bacterial infection and probably wouldn’t survive. But now one of the females has what I think is dropsy? Is it possible for them to have 2 different illnesses? Oh and I started to treat for fun rot any help would be fantastic

First off, dropsy isn't a disease. It's a symptom of kidney failure caused, usually, by an internal infection.

The first fish looks like it has nothing clean water wouldn't let it deal with, and the second is borderline looking to me. When I said it was a goner, I had no photo to look at.

I see zero fin rot on either.

Please don’t be like that with me. It’s really hard to take a picture I’m still not sure how to do it but this picture attached is clearer it’s like the scales are coming away. What do you mean clean water they’ve not even been in the tank a week they are the first fish going in after cycling finished and I did a 50% water change. If you maybe explain what you mean I’m new to this and trying my best that’s why I thought I would use this forum. I want to learn so please let me know what I can do. Thanks

No offence intended. That was meant to be good news!

I think that if you change 25% or the water twice a week for a few weeks, then settle back to 25% once a week, the problem should resolve itself. There are no guarantees, and you see directly while we have photos only.

Your fish is a bit clamped (fins held close) but it's a new arrival.
