Of my six "lucky to be alive" rehomed chickens, I have to find new homes for two of them. I save them from death and how do they repay me? they beat the ever-loving out of one of their mates. Grrr.
They totally victimize one of the other birds, and peck two others, we have them separated into two groups of three, but they go out of their way to get to her in particular . We have tried everything every one has suggested to encourage them to get along but it's not working. So I have to get rid of the gangland chickens.
I can not have one of them fearing for her life, every time she sees the other two, and she totally panics every time she sees them It's not fair. I don't have room for two chicken runs and they can not be put together even for a moment. I did have a partition in the run with three on one side and three on the other, but they have found a way round it and actively pursue her to hurt her.
Anyone here want to take a couple of naughty chickens? they get along just fine with each other, but they seem to really have it in for Pecky (Note to self: never let a four year old name an animal). Failing that, I am going to start phoning free-range farms and see if I can rehome them anywhere.
I am in Rushden, Northants with no transport so I can not deliver them.
