Turtles Anyone?

Glad you have provided a proper setup aswell, most people think they are the same as fish, but quite a lot more is needed.

Remember the advice above about a larger filter as they get older, because their poo is much heavier than a fishers so the reccomended size of filter isn't good enough.

I'm soon to have a spear 36x16x16 tank.would that be big enough for 2 or more musk turtles? also the bulbs that are required do they operate using a normal aquarium starter unit or is it a specific kind of lighting system?

Congrats on the new family members!!!! Looks like they're in good hands!

Post us some new pictures soon I love the little guys!!!

If I get a Chance in the next day or two ill take some pictures of my guys for ya!! Excluding the snappers! I don't think ill see them for a bit!!

I have always loved reptiles!! I have kept everything I can! I've had snakes, a green iguana and turtles and of course frogs!!! I also helped out with breeding constructers and some other snakes and lizards!

I have unfortunately had to put them back in their temporary tank and strip this tank - as i learnt the hard way that they DO eat gravel which is of course very bad for them. So i am having to go buy some sand tomorrow, which of course messes up the cycle of the tank. Anyway i will update you all tomorrow if you ask nicely.

Your tank sounds ideal, and i would personally go with 3 or 4 in there, but others may disagree.
And yes their UVB bulbs run off the same starters.
