alright , but we havent gotten the filter yea so the water is still kinda foggy cause the filter im useing now is suckish.
doo i need a heater? if so, what temp should it be at?
yea i plan to make the top part of the pond a basking area, once i find a rock or two that go above water level
Thanks, ill lookin to one of those filters
so wil i need to lights? 1 uvb and 1 heat? do i put them in the same basking spot or does the uva/uvb light go somewhere else? can i use a uvA bulb instead of uvB because i have uvA but not uvB? im 99% sure that my bulb right now is a heat and uva bulb
and i put the heater to 79, how close should the heat lamp be to the basking area?

You must have UVB - they need these rays for proper growth and aid with digestion, it mimics the sun's rays and helps them made their own vit D3 to process their nutrients and grow them bones. A good reptile shop should have a Power Sun bulb, they are a little pricey as they had both heat and UVB, and some UVA all in one, it helps with lighting and needs. It looks better than with having a million lights everywhere! get the large zoomed light hanger, the deep hood and a power sun combo bulb, IMO that's the best way to do UVB.

Most fishfood has vitamin D3 in (such as hikari gold),
so if you suppliment that in their diet, it can help aid growth without a Uv.
This shouldnt be thought as a perminant solution though.

fish food isn't turtle food.
turtles need more than just pellets as well.
uh.. so i should turtle pellets, fish pellets, AND veggys (what type of veggys can i use)?
recently, my turtles have decided to eat my fish... so does that mean they are hungry?

no it means they're eating what they might normally eat in the wild.
turtles eat fish.
pellets, veggies and a little meat.
use dark greens like romaine, green leaf, red leaf lettuces
no spinach, broccoli, or any related veggies to those
