Trying to get a Job!

fish newbie,

How old are you? I could swear that you said you were approximately 14. Is that correct? No offense but pets stores, such as petsmart, usually will not hire people under the age of 16 for a number of reasons. Not saying you are any of these things but people under 16 tend to be more immature, likely to quit, and generally not very responsible. Though these traits can be common among people of all ages they are simply just more common among people under a certain age. I'm not saying you won't get the job, but just don't get your hopes up. You probably have a better chance at getting hired at a small private lfs where the owner doesn't have to deal with chain store policies and can give you a chance.
 good luck on the petsmart job though ;)

Actually, its against the law to hire someone under the age of 16. Or at least it is here. The Labor Department definately has issues with under-age workers.
