and that they did. i hope they breed this time. at +20 Hours they haven't bred yet and the male is still slowly working on his nest.

Several days if neither is damaged seriously or looking ill. Some breeders leave em in until they spawn or one gets killed...I don't go that far, but if one isn't getting killed, can't hurt to leave them. It's not unusual for it to take several days before they get in the mood.

our crown-tails were together for 5 days before they bred. you can only keep them in together that long if the female has a great place to hide.

They could take some time, the male won't let her near it until it's just right. I had to leave my female in overnight, but I had a hollow piece of driftwood for her to hide in. Just give them time.
