Trouble Keeping Goldfish Clean

Well tomorrow I'll re do the sand to see if that helps as a temp solution and will try a 20% water change once a week maybe more if needed until I can raise enough money to get a bigger tank with a more powerful filter. Thank you both for your help in the matter.

No problem, good luck with it and I would rinse it about a dozen times in really hot water then let it stand in water for awhile and then rinse it again a few times in cold water.
As soon as you notice the water goin cloudy do a water change to try to keep on top of it and don't over feed them cause that clouds your water too.
Good Luck.

I got a 100 gallon tank running 2 Fluval 404's that are sure keeping the tank clean. Check em out here:

As well, instead of using flake fish food, you can try pellet fish food. The ones from Hikari for Koi and goldfish works well and I have been using it for 5 years. They are a bit expensive but you will notice greater color in your fishes when compared to other brands. Also, tusing 2 airpumps for your fishes. It will sound loud during the night.
