tropical fish tank help needed FAST plz

ok the fish look abit whiter now and are all seperating around the tank and swimming around like crazy, i have filled a butty box container up wiv hot water and placed it into the tank

They may be swimming around like crazy because they aren't used to the blanket!!


But I totally agree about the light needing to be ON. My 29 gallon can drop 2 degrees at night when it's off!!!

yes leave the light on , have you taken the broken heater out ? sorry if that sounds like a stupid question .

well all my fish have lasted through the nite, which means they are fighteres and all they need to do now is keep alive till about 3 o clock till i get my new heater.

keep us updated... dunno if im correct (probably aint)

but if the temp dropped too quick in the tank and then rose again quickly it can cause the fish alot of stress, wich in turn will lower their immune system... maybe after u have put ur new heater in increase the temp slowly to the normal temp..

also keep an eye out in days to come for itch/whitespot..
