Hey

I am starting my own website with as much information as i can possibly find about tropical fish. I know a fair amount myself ( dont sound to bigheaded huh!) but i was wondering if anyone here would like to post any info on anything you know!

If you do give me some information i will of course put your name on the credits for giving a hand !

I am just writing things out rough now and will hopefully be typing it up and making it look all fancy some time soon!

Thanks for your help
Matthew

I heard (it might not be true) that if you feed your fish too much it will become constipated and will float to the top of the tank looking like its dead when in fact it is wearing off the constipation even if you poke the fish it will not move and look dead. when this does happen it would usually get nipped by other fish and will then die of constant nipping but if you are lucky enough to see one floating in one piece check for gill movements and then see if its deceased or not

They are both frustrating, & satisfying

The only fish that CANT swim backwards, is the shark.....
..but this was a fact on an old christmas cracker - so it might not be true!

The Australian Box Jellyfish (Chironex Fleckeri) is the most venomous creature on earth, by far outstripping any snake, spider or other well-known venomous creature.

Each adult Box Jellyfish carries enough venom at any time to kill 10 adult humans.

The English Cardboard Fish Box in my living room is possibly the least venimous object on Earth, however it has been know to cause stumbles and falls due to inappropriate placement, so could quite feasibly have potential to kill more adult humans that the Box JellyFish mentioned above...

You can gain a lot of knowledge just by reading the index right here on this board. Sorry if my previous post came off sounding snarky, I was in a very strange mood...cold medicine is some wacky stuff . LOL
