Anyone use any of the range of Tropic Marin minerals with their RO water. I'm interested to know what results are gained in terms of Ph, hardness etc. Neither the website nor the tubs give any info. Its the minerals that my Lfs supply so easy to get hold of for me.

Has anyone an answer tot his as I have been looking for the answer.

It is an additive to stabilize the water because RO is naturally unstable due to the lack of essential minerals.

Looks like its a buffer for calcium and alkalinity. Maybe some other minerals such as magnesium and the like to help stabilize the prementioned levels.

But, what I would recommend if that you get a phone number for the company, either find online or through your lfs, and give them a call. It should be listed on the container and if it's not, there has to be a listing somewhere of atleast what is in it, even if it's without the concentrations :good:

I know of the product. The final pH and Hardness attained by the product will depend on the source water that you are adding it to. As they say, "your mileage may vary" :good: If you can give details of what it contains, the recomended dosage and the soure water quality, we could possibly give an idea of the results. As a rule, the recomended dosage makes a good starting point, when added to RO with zero hardness. The final pH will depend on the initial pH of the water, and this can vary a lot. Use the recomended dose in a 2 gal bucket, and play arround from there to work out the amount you need for your application.

All the best
